Stell is a key manufacturer of cardboard tubes and cores in the UK, with a thriving customer base and extensive product range that we have developed over many years. We have an extensive range of stock tooling for spiral and convolute cardboard tubes, as well as many finishing processes. We are situated in West Yorkshire in the M62 Corridor where we have our single site manufacturing facility and a team of over 100 dedicated personnel. We have retained and continue to develop skills and techniques that has allowed us to successfully manufacture new equipment and tooling to serve modern markets and developing technologies, something that is now rare in the UK tube industry.

Stell was founded by John Stell in 1872 in the heart of the Yorkshire textile industry and originally manufactured textile tubes and cones. The Stell ethos was (and remains today) to develop products, process and equipment that satisfies the continually changing requirements of our customers and markets. 

The company has always been controlled by the Stell family who has provided the backing, support and direction that has made the company what it is today. The business had fundamentally changed in the intervening years and we manufactured the last textile cone in the UK in 2002, ending 130 years of Stell cone manufacturing. Stell now offer a broad range of custom and off the shelf tube and core products that can meet almost any manufacturing and budgetary requirements.
